This is an alternative web
browser if you dislike Internet Explorer or Mozilla. It has
a tabbed interface, like Mozilla, it includes pop-up
controls, and is one of the better, but not as well known
browsers.
"A free multi-window Web
browser with a built-in HTTP server, a fully functional FTP
client and a drag & drop image viewer. It enables users to
surf the Web, run a Web server, transfer files between his
computer (client) and servers, clean IE records, view and
capture images from Web pages within one single
application." --Snapfiles.com

"Chrome
is Google's attempt to disappear the browser and to focus on
the applications and pages users are viewing, rather than on
the border with its tools. Some of Chrome's basic
underpinnings are quite novel, but users will recognize
other features as they exist in other, open-source browsers
on the market today.
Currently only for
Windows, Chrome is blazingly fast, easily the fastest
browser available. Based on Webkit, the same open-source
engine that powers Apple Safari and Google's Android mobile
platform, Chrome's interface is a drastic departure from
other browsers. Instead of the traditional toolbar, Chrome
puts its tabs on top. Moreover, the tabs are detachable:
"tabs" and "windows" are interchangeable here. Detached tabs
can be dragged and dropped into the browser, and tabs can be
rearranged at any time. By isolating each tab's processes,
when one site crashes, the browser does not.
Within each tab are
individual controls, such as forward and back buttons. The
search box and the address bar have been fused into a hybrid
"Omnibox". The Omnibox includes not only suggestions for
URLs culled from your browser's history, it also includes
search suggestions from your search engine, and remembers
site-specific search engine results. There's also
Application Shortcuts, a feature that allows you to create
desktop icons for Web-only applications, such as Gmail or
Calendar. The stealth mode, Incognito, lets users surf
without the history recording cookies.
Chrome lacks plug-ins, and
there's the potential for high memory usage given that each
tab is its own process. If you're addicted to Web apps and a
need for speed, though, Chrome just might be the shine your
browsing experience has been looking for."

"A multi-page browser based on
the Internet Explorer core (IE 5.x
or 6.0 required). It can open multiple Web pages in just one window,
and it only takes a few system resources when you're surfing with the
integrated user interface. It supports special plug-ins and IE
extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling,
external tools, plug-in support, newsgroup browsing mode, mouse
gestures, customizable skins, and an autohide panel. The latest release
includes Gecko engine support, RealTime, size information in the status
bar, as well as improved Windows XP theme support and several
performance enhancements." --Download.com
"The all new Internet Explorer 7
offer many improvements over IE6, most importantly a tabbed
interface that allows you to easily navigate between multiple web
pages. Other new features include built-in RSS support, improved
security features with anti-phishing, improved web page printing and
more." --Snapfiles.com
"Mozilla Firefox is based on Mozilla and created by a sub-team of the
Mozilla
development team. It is a little lighter and less featured than
Mozilla and uses a
different interface design. At first sight, it
appears rather plain, but offers some handy
features such as
customizable toolbars, IE Favorites import, integrated web search
bar,
multi-window (tabbed) browsing, source view with syntax highlighting,
password
manager
and more." --Snapfiles.com
"AOL has released a new prototype of Netscape Browser. This new
version is almost
identical to the first prototype, but it's based on Mozilla Firefox 1.0
rather than 0.9.3.
The browser does not contain the proposed new design concept or any new
features,
though there are some performance improvements. Based on Firefox, the
Netscape
Browser options and interface are similar, but brought to a superior
level of accessibilty
by filling some of the Firefox gaps, such as tabbed browsing, context
menus and menu
bars."

"Experience the web, Apple style, with Safari: the fastest,
easiest-to-use web browser in the world. With its simple, elegant
interface, Safari gets out of your way and lets you enjoy the web - up
to 2 times faster than Internet Explorer. Safari’s clean, sleek look
lets you focus on the web instead of your browser. The browser frame is
a mere one pixel wide. You see a scroll bar only when you need one. You
see no status bar by default — a blue progress bar fills the address
field as the page loads — giving you more room to browse and view the
web.
And with commonly used tools like a Google search field built right into
Safari, you can get anywhere on the web faster.
Tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker and more are all fully implemented and
supported." --Majorgeeks.com
